Payton's Play House!

We are sad we have this house, but happy at the same time. When our friends the Butcher's decided to move to South Carolina, the movers told them that their playhouse wouldn't make the move, so they decided to let us have it! It has made a home in our garage for the last few weeks because of all the rain, and finally it dried up enough outside for Brian to put it back together and now we love it!! Thanks Ruth and Elijah!!

Fun Farm Friends

Last night we went to Farm Friends, and it was so neat! We saw lots of our friends and Payton finally warmed up to some baby animals. She loved the rabbits, and the piglets...and even petted a goat!

At first, this is how close she would get to the horse. She was happy as could be, just didn't want to get any closer!

Then we went to the goat area, and she kept saying, "Mommy...Baby" because the boy working showed us the mommy goat and her babies...

Our friend Presley was there too, and they loved patting the rabbits, I think it was the bunny pics that we took at Easter that helped them out!

"Can't I get in the pin with those piglets mom??"

Lovin' a good book!

Last week, I rented a book on CD to drive down to LR with. I thought it would make the time pass by faster, and it did, but there were 9 Cd's!! I got through 3 of them driving there and back and realized I just needed to check out the book instead if I ever wanted to get to the end. So, as I was trying to have some quiet time outside in this beautiful weather we are having, I was interrupted by someone who wanted to read it for herself....hum...I think she really likes Nicholas Sparks!

Easter Catch-up

What a fun Easter weekend we had spending time with family and friends! On Friday, Brian took his Grandpa and Payton to the zoo, and she loved getting to see all the animals. It was a crazy time trying to see everyone, but we made it work, and had a great time!

Payton opening her Easter basket from Granna Sue. She loved her new Pablo, Tasha, and her "mawn mow"...so cute!

Here is her basket from us, it was my basket as a little girl! She loved peeking over the table to see what was inside!

Pee-Pee in the Potty!!

Last night was so fun!! As most of you know, we have a potty for Payton for whenever she is ready to use it. It is just really in the bathroom for her to look at and get accustomed to. But we sit on it every now and then and look at books. Last night before bed we were sitting on it and she had a little success!! It wasn't much but she was surprised and I was so excited!!

Payton sitting and reading...

Payton celebrating her accomplishments!

"Look Mom! I did it!"

We will have more posts on this subject I am sure, but this one was the mile marker!

I am an idiot...with the best of intentions

Sunday I went to a shower for one of my friends, Katie. It was so fun, and she wanted pickles and ice cream! She is having a little girl in July, and already has Paige who is a little older than Payton. Since she is having another girl, I decided to make her something for the nursrey. So I painted her a canvas with a sweet verse on it....
Katie with her pickles...

Katie opening her canvas...

The finished product...do you see anything wrong?? 5 people looked at it and said nothing...until Katie called me the next day and said..."Um, I love the verse, but you spelled it wrong.." WHAT???! Am I an idiot or what...that is why I tought pre-k. So, I will be making her another one!

Choo Choo!!

This weekend was WINDY! Brian's parents came up this weekend to spend some time with P and let me work on Monday. We went to the promanade on Saturday, and it was a wind tunnel! We were hoping for a fun day shopping with the girls, but it turned into me running into store after store (making some fun purchases along the way :)) and Sue walking P around in the stroller, and then they found the train! She rode it twice and had a blast waving to all the people and blowing them kisses! Such a fun and beautiful day! I am glad we went when we did, because Sunday was horribly cold, and wouldn't have been near as fun!
