Payton is learning how to clean herself off when she is done eating! This is a trick that I learned while working at the IDC- let the children wipe their own mouths and hands- she sure gets messy enough! Daddy does a great job of keeping her clean, Mom on the other hand needs all the washcloths she can get....and then a change of clothes for both of us!
We celebrated out 4 year anniversary yesterday! It is hard to believe that it has been that long! Brian took me to Ruth's Chris for dinner and it was awesome! The steak was amazing! Our friend Sarah Pennington watched Payton for us so we could go have a date night...Thank you Sarah! Here is a picture of us all dressed up and ready to go. You can't really tell, but I got my hair cut the other day and it is pretty cute!
Today we went to Petra Cafe with our friend Stephanie from Dallas. They didn't have any highchairs so we had to use a booster seat! Payton is such a big girl sitting in the booster seat! She was great during lunch ( she really didn't lean like she looks like) and then fell asleep on the way home....she is snoozing away now in her bed. Which reminds me....she is sleeping all night now from 7:30 to 7:30.....we have dropped the 5th feeding and so now we can all sleep so well! I can't believe that she sleeps about 12 hours a night! Yea Payton!!!

Time to raise the bar...literally
OK.....time to raise the bar! This is how I found Payton this morning! We knew it would happen soon! I can't believe how many things are happening with her so fast!
OK Aunt Jenny.....no more bumbo seat on the counter! After our friend Jackson took a tumble to the floor, we decided it was time to move to the highchair...Daddy, who was hesitant about it, even likes it better because it helps keep her hands out of her mouth.
We went to lunch with Uncle Mitchell today and she sat in the highchair at Loafin Joes...yumm...and ate a whole container of peas and one of carrots too! She was such a big girl going out to eat lunch! She sat and ate with us and enjoyed looking around at all the people and things at the restaurant...this is a good thing! Now we can go out to eat with her more often.

It's a crawling shame!
We have added carrots to our diet! She liked them much better than the peas...but is now eating both really well! We also eat bananas and rice for breakfast...Yummy!
Great Uncle John came to visit from Dallas! Payton had changed so much since the last time he saw her Thanksgiving. They had so much fun playing and she loved touching his beard!
Granjann thinks that I am going to walk by Mothers Day....will she be right??

Well.....she's a movin' and a shaken'! It has been a big week here at the Porbeck house. Payton has been sick since Saturday...that hasn't been very fun...but you would never know it because she smiles right through all the snot...literally. She is such a happy sweet baby!
On Wednesday night we took a break from the Hog game and did the webcam with Grandma and Grandpa Porbeck because Payton's Great Grandpa was over there and we wanted him to be able to see her sit up.....well she gave them and us quite a show when she took off in the office! She put her hands down and started crawling!! It was great to be able to share that with them- and now we can share that with you!
Everyday she gets the hang of it more and she is going to be lapping us before you know it.

My Sweet Valentines!
Then we started eating each other....they both have their first tooth!
Happy Valentines Day! Today Brian and I decided to have an un-valentines day because we are going to celebrate on Friday night so we let our friends the Stam's celebrate. We watched their daughter tonight and they are going to watch ours tomorrow! What a trade off! I couldn't let the day slide by though so I fixed a nice dinner for Brian and I while Payton was sleeping. We used our china and crystal and it was so much fun.....until Payton woke up after 40 minutes and got to finish dinner with us.
The girls had so much fun playing together. It got pretty loud there for awhile...they were both squeeling! PK was crawling all over the place...it was fun to see what's ahead 2 months down the road! It's a little scary that she is going to be moving so fast!

Peas Please!
Well...I am not sure that this was as much of a success as the rice was, but it was an experience none the less...I tried my hand at pureeing and it was really fun! Hopefully I can continue on the path to puree perfection!
We also went to the Dr. today and he told us how wonderfuly perfect she was...but we already knew that. She was in the 75th percentile for length and head circumfrence and 10th percentile for weight, weighing in at a whopping 13 pounds 3 ounces. I would take that tall and skinny! She did have to get 2 shots, but that is all until she is 1 year! Yea!! Mommy is glad about that! So here is a picture of her smiliing through the 2 owies...and one of her dress that we got her 6 month picture in...oh yea! She reached 1/2 a year on Saturday! How could I have forgotten that?! Sorry the video is sideways.. I did it on my camera and had it turned...we will learn from this one, but it is still cute! She shakes like she doesn't know what hit her!

We love rice cereal!
Tonight was a big night! We had our first experience feeding Payton rice cereal! I was really hesitant, but Daddy insisted, he couldn't wait any longer, the anticipation had been mounting too long... and she did sooo good! She was totally ready for it. She loved it and couldn't get enough of the spoon...She would reach out her hands and grab the spoon as it came towards her mouth. She swallowed well and really seemed to like it...she wasn't shocked at all, she just opened her mouth for more! YUM! Daddy had a lot of fun feeding her and we all enjoyed this momentous occasion!
