Ice Storm 09

Here are some pictures from the ice storm that hit NWA this week. It has been quite a week, and we were some of the lucky ones that are still with power. We lost it once last night for about an hour, and that was scary enough for us...we are sooo grateful that we were warm. Brian's plant was without power so it was such a treat for me to wake up with him this morning since he didn't have to go to work...normally he is gone pretty early, long before I wake up! We had a fun day getting outside and looking around at all the damage...

Hogs vs. Auburn

We got the opportunity to take Payton to her 1st Basketball game this season. She LOVED it! It was even more special for us to watch her have so much fun. She clapped and danced to the band, and couldn't keep her little feet still. When the band would stop, she would say, "more more!" She kept pointing at the band and all the lights, and it was such a fun afternoon...good thing she can't keep score yet...yikes! We heard on the radio it was the worst home loss since the 50-51' season...whoa! Getting a lift from dad on the way out! She clapped all through lunch...beans in hand and all! This video is so cute! It doesn't show all her enthusiasm, but it was still precious!

The Semi-snow

Well... I need to learn how to post pics in order! Anyway, as you can see, Payton was so excited to go see the snow! I need to capture a video of her new obsession, "muah!" She kisses everything! It is so precious! She was kissing the window, and so we went out in the cold even before breakfast! She walked around awhile, then picked up some snow...I don't think she was ready for the cold!



This is another one of her new favorite pastimes, pens and pencils! She found my pen stash from school and loves drawing on paper, and working with Daddy. We have only had one incident on the walls, and that was kinda my fault. Luckily it was pencil and will come off! Notice the chair too...she is getting a little too big!

Daddy got a new grill for his birthday and so Payton helped him put it together! I was MIA because daddy was letting me sleep in! Thanks! What a fun project for the two of them!...can you tell she likes to stick her tongue out these days??

Happy 30th Daddy!

Dec 29th, Brian entered the third decade of his life! Welcome to the 30's Daddy!! You are such a sweet husband and father. You are such a good supporter, and there are so many things that we are thankful for that you do for us. We have had such a great year, that I can't wait for this next one. I hope you have felt loved today because we love you more than you know! Happy Birthday!!

It was such a beautiful day that we went to the park down the street. I was lucky to get to come because that is Payton and Daddy's special time!

Holiday Slideshow

We went to LR for a week to spend wonderful times with friends and family. It felt like we were busy every second, but it was worth it to see everyone and enjoy the time with Payton as she enjoyed her second Christmas. There were too many pics to choose from so I made a slide show...grab a cup of cocoa and watch our close to 50 pics! Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!

Santa here we come

Ok...well I was a horrible mom last year and forgot to get P's picture taken with Santa! I know...her first Christmas and I forget. I was not going to let that opportunity pass me by again! So I made sure we went to see him! She was great while we waited in line...she was saying, "Ho Ho Ho" and peeking through his house to see him, pointing....but then we got up to him, and she started shaking her head, no, no, no! So we have a mommy and Payton picture this year. Maybe next year she will sit on his lap and really enjoy it!
