Birthday Ice Skating!

After a yummy pizza dinner at Guidos, we headed to the Jones center with our friends the Stams, to take the girls Ice Skating for Brian's B-day! It was awesome! We were all taking bets to see how long they would last...5 min..10 min..maybe..but they loved it! Payton has been wanting to ice skate for a long time, she saw it on Sesame Street one day, and it was the perfect cold weather activity!

Corbin and Presley ready to go!

Getting on our skates! Good thing the smallest size they had was a toddler 9! Just our size!

And we are off!

I got to sit on the side lines with Maddyn, the Stam's new baby...it was good practice for the future!

We ended the night with some cake. It was such a fun evening! Happy Birthday Dad! Can we go back soon??

Birthday Preperations!

We had a big birthday at our house yesterday! Our sweet Daddy!! Payton and I worked all morning to get the house ready and the cake made. I had some great help in the baking department! We made his favorite, yellow cake with chocolate icing. I decided to spruce it up a little bit and add chocolate chips...and a word of advice, when you make it in a bunt pan...all the chips sink the the bottom, which it the top of the cake, and then you have no chips in your cake! But it was good anyway! Happy Birthday Daddy!

We got snow while we were gone over Christmas! We came home to a white yard! Even day 3 there is still snow on the ground.

I knew if I bought these snow bibs, that they would come in handy! They are so cute!

Nothing like a little hot cocoa after we came in to warm us up! Yummy!

Cookies with Ava

Our friend Ava came over Yesterday to play and we decided to make some Chrismas cookies! I let the girls mix the dough, roll out the dough, and make thier own cookies! It was quite and experience! The girls really did have a ball, and it kept them so entertained! I did learn one thing...next time you make cookies with 2 year olds...make sure it isn't the same night you are having wine club at your house! It was quite a mess as you can see!! But all worth it!

The Polar Express!

On Saturday we rode the Christmas train, or Polar Express as they called it with the Stams, and the girls had so much fun! We waited for the train to pull into the station, and then each girl had their ticket to board. It was about a 2 hour ride to Winslow and back...complete with dinner, carols, and Santa. We were one tired cookie by the time it was over!

Here comes the train! Notice the grip on Brian's neck! Ha!

We all wore our PJ's to get on the train!

"I have my ticket Presley....do you?"

We are getting better with Santa each time we see him....I think it helps he gives us candy canes!

Breakfast with Santa

This Saturday we went to the Arts Center of the Ozarks for breakfast with Santa. It was so fun! The kids got to eat with Mrs. Claus ( see picture of P not talking to her), and make ornaments, decorate cookies, make a frame for the picture that they took with Santa ( which I am in because she wouldn't sit by herself...) and make reindeer food! What a fun and exciting morning! I was worn out by the time it was over!

Christmas has begun!

We have started decorating around the house for Christmas, and Payton loves it! She has asked and asked about our tree, and we finally had time to get it out. We would love to have a real one, but with all the traveling we will be doing this month, it wasn't going to happen. So, we broke out the one that Brian and I had in our apartment the first year we were married....and it still looks good...a little small...but it works!
Payton was so careful hanging up the ornaments and she learned all about hooks and strings and the ones that could ring. It was such a fun family night...and one I will cherish for a long time.
